Online Scheduling
You'll have a web-accessible calendar where you can schedule clinical and non-clinical appointments, including recurring appointments. Each appointment automatically includes transaction information such as CPT codes and diagnostic codes that you'll need for billing and client documentation. The program learns from your input, so you won't have to re-enter the information.

Clinical Documentation
Our documentation system is robust, including drop-down boxes, check boxes, customizable templates and treatment plans, and template and treatment plan libraries. In addition, you can pull structured data from the EMR, to make notes quickly, and push structured data back into the EMR, so you don't need to duplicate data. Documents are created and hosted in encrypted format in the Valant system, so that you don't have to worry about security or back-ups. And because they're viewed as Word documents on your computer, it's easy to print a set of notes or an entire chart as a PDF document.

Medication Management
The medication management tool lets you track and review your patients' prescription history and keep lists of active as well as inactive medications. Current medications can appear automatically in your progress notes to also save you time in your note creation.

Laboratory Management
Create and track your lab requests in the Valant EMR. Once it's created, a reminder sits on your dashboard until you have viewed the report and marked the request as having been completed. Laboratory results can be uploaded to the system or added as structured data for measurement tracking needs to the EMR. It's also easy to set up reminders to reorder labs based on timetables that you choose so that you can build your own quality assurance procedures based on your clinical judgment.

Reporting
Valant has built a robust reporting platform for both clinical and business reporting. For example, The Valant EMR provides patient lists based on diagnosis or medication history. Also, in conjunction with the Meaningful Use module, the Premium EMR has the ability to create the reports needed to show meaningful use for EHR incentives.

Personnel Accounts
Customize user permission for office staff users on your account, which allows or restricts access to functions needed to manage the mental health practice.
